We rented our apartment in Lunenburg through airbnb and discovered when we arrived that it was right on the main street of town within walking distance to everything.  It was a big change from the quiet country rental of the previous week but the convenience of having anything we needed just outside our front door was nice.  Our apartment was on the second floor so we still had privacy and could look down on the street without people walking right by our windows.  It was a very convenient location that we really enjoyed.

 

 

 

The finishes in the apartment were beautifully done with several nice touches.  It was an interesting and unusual layout.  When you first walk in the front door, you are on the lower level with the washroom being the first door you immediately see.  Then a hallway with one bedroom, up a few steps to another bedroom and up a few more steps to the living and dining area

In the spirit of giving honest lodging reviews on our site (what's the point in doing it otherwise?), it was an interesting stay as we were their first guests.  The apartment is managed by a hotel versus a private owner or rental management agency you would typically find in vacation rental properties.  Being under the management of a hotel had its pros and cons.  The apartment was very clean and most basic toiletries were provided.  Most of the cons could be, and no doubt in time will be, cleared up when they streamline how they want to do things and by being very upfront with their future tenants.  Since we were their first tenants, answers to questions varied from employee to employee and often in contradiction to one another.  Most of all, they need to decide what services they will provide to tenants and what services will incur additional fees.  They'll get all that stuff figured out in time and it was still a great stay.  We enjoyed our time there very much.
